Randy Lee Riviere is a Montana singer and guitar player, as well as an ecologist and wildlife defender, who devotes most of his time to the preservation of the environment, something that can be found in his songs. When he is in Montana, he devotes his life to nature preservation and when he is in Nashville, he devotes himself to music.
His style is powerful, heavy, whiskey-flavored and hard, seasoned with powerful guitar solos and a voice that matches with the expressive force he puts in his songs, which are framed in blues, rock, country or American roots music. His songs sound spontaneous because they come from the experiences, he has learnt from nature but also present daily problems and life circumstances.
The album has been produced by Tom Hambridge who is on drums and has also collaborated with Randy in the fifteen album songs’ composition. Randy feels that working with Tom has been a rewarding experience, both musically and personally because, thanks to Tom, his songs have got closer to blues, presenting a good range of colorful nuances that give them a remarkable variety. Lyrics are interesting too and reflect some personal circumstances as, for example, “Downtown” song where he tells us about a man who comes out of the mountains to the city with a bunch of songs to show them to the people there, or “Linden Lane”, a heartbreaking tribute to Neil Young, or “December 1980” thar recalls that terrible day John Lennon was assassinated, or the beautiful ballad “You Ain’t No Loving Woman” full of deep sad feelings.
Randy Lee Riviera is on vocals and guitar, well supported by Doug Lancio and Bob Britt on guitars, Michael Saint-Leon on harmonica and guitar, Mike Rojas on keyboards, Robert Kearns on bass and Tom Hambridge on drums, percussion and backing vocals.
